Welcome to Epping Football Club

Epping Football Club is based in Epping, NSW, Australia.

The club is one of the largest in the local area with over 90 teams and more than 1100 playing members in teams from U6 to O55’s and Masters. The club fields teams in mens, boys and mixed teams who play on Saturdays with more than 750 players and teams in all girls & womens teams who play on Sundays with more than 350 players. All teams play in the newly created North West Sydney Football Assosiation which was fomed when the Gladesville Hornsby Football Association and the North West Sydney Women’s Football Association merged in 2019.

Record of Service of Ken Gower to Epping Y M C A Soccer Club and G H F A

Ken joined the Y M C A in 1982 when son Marc started playing soccer, he coached his team for 6 years, from 82 to 87, then managed his teams in various grades for 8 years from 88 to 94.

In 1985 Ken joined the Y M C A Soccer Management Committee in the capacity of Equipment Officer for 3 Years from 85 to 87.

In1988 he was voted into the position of President of the Club for 5 Years, 88 to 92.

In 1991 Ken was made a Life Member of the Y M C A Soccer Club and also of the Epping Y M C A Centre.

One of my great regrets is that we didn't keep up the Six a side comps we used to run on long week ends against other local Clubs, which was a great success.

Ken along with Ron Bolton, did all the research, original design and negotiations with Hornsby Council for the West Epping Oval Soccer amenities, toilets, change rooms, referees room, canteen, stores, and the Meeting room. 1990 to 1994.

In 1995 he took on the Managers Position of the Y M C A Premier League One Squad for 7 Years from 95 to 2001.

He also carried out the position of Club Delegate to the G H F A Management Committee for 5 years from 95 to 99.

Ken received The G H F A Association Medal in 1998.

He Managed the G H F A Premier League Select Squad in 1999 to play Northern Spirit and in 2001 to play in the Northern Spirit Cup at Gosford and North Sydney Oval against other Associations.

Ken in 2000 was Elected into the Position of Vice President of the G H F A and held the position for seven years,

Then after steeping down, worked as gate keeper for Super league games at Christie Park
Until 2014

And now in retirement from Soccer, ( Sorry Football ) I will just follow the EPPING FOOTBALL CLUB and support the work of Malcolm Arnold and the committee. Who are doing a great job!

Our 2020 Premiers and Champions

Our NWSF sides have had a fantastic year in 2020. Our U12/2 Girls, U13/1, U14/1, U16/1 Red Girls, AA9, Over 30 Women and Over 45/1 sides all won Premierships. Our U12/2 Girls, U14/1, U16/1 Red Girls, U18/1, AA1 Women, Over 30/1 Women and Over 45/1 won their Championship Grand Finals. Great effort by all our sides and the club is very proud of you all.

Our NWSWF Premiers and Champions 2019

Our NWSWF sides had a fantastic year! Our U16/1, AA1 & AA5 sides won Premierships. Our U15/1, AA1 and AA5 sides won their Championship competitions, our AA1's were State Cup Grand Finalsists, our AA2's were Championship runners up and our O30 Div 1 won their Pennant. Great effort by all our sides and the club is very proud of you all.

GHFA Club Championship Winners 2019

EFC have won the GHFA Club Championship for 2019. EFC also won it in 2018 and is the 3rd time in the last 4 years that our mens/boys sides have taken out the coverted trophy. While playing with EFC is primarily about having fun and enjoying the game more than anything else, the club really is one of the strongest clubs in the area in all ages and divisions.

Our GHFA Premiers and Championship Winners 2019

Our GHFA sides have had a fantastic year. Our U12/6, U13/1, U16/1, AA4, AA10 and Super League Reserve sides all won Premierships. Our U12/4, U12/6, U13/1, U13/4, U16/1, AA4, AA10 , O35/5 and Super League Reseve sides won their Championship Grand Finals. Great effort by all our sides and the club is very proud of you all.

We were so proud of our All Age Division 1 side who made the Grand Final of the NSW State Cup. A fantastic acheivement, well done ladies

NWSWF Club Championship Winners 2019

EFC have won the NWSWF Club Championship for 2019. Runners up last year they have gone one better this year. Fantastic achievement ladies. Playing with EFC is primarily about having fun and enjoying the game more than anything else but the club really is one of the strongest clubs in the area in all ages and divisions.
